Psychology and Psychosocial Risk Assessment

Psychology / Psychosocial Risk Assessment

Organizations increasingly need more attentive, productive and fast-paced employees. However, there are several factors that can negatively influence their health and, consequently, their work performance. Work-related stress is the second most frequently reported health problem in Europe, after musculoskeletal disorders, and around half of employees consider it common in their workplace (eu-osha, 2014).

Psychosocial risks can manifest themselves in problems such as absenteeism, reduced profitability, increased turnover, conflicts with coworkers and an increase in the number of accidents at work.

The provision of Medilav® services has the following objectives:

  • Psychological support and/or guidance, individually or in groups, for employees identified by management or who spontaneously show an interest in this support. Each session will last approximately 50 minutes;
  • Study on Psychosocial Risks: Assessment of employees on the Psychosocial Risks to which they are exposed in the workplace:
    • – 1st moment – questionnaire application
    • – 2nd stage – individual interviews
    • – 3rd moment – intervention measures
  • Carrying out awareness-raising activities and/or training aimed at promoting health and well-being (psychosocial risks, communication and interpersonal relationships; managing conflicts, stress and time, adopting healthy lifestyle habits, among others subsequently defined and agreed upon)
